Industrial Design Conference Presentations, Posters and Proceedings Design Thinking has become increasingly popular across different disciplines. However, what it exactly entails is becoming more and more vague, leading to the term being used for many different approaches and applications. Industrial design is not a new field; it has been around since the midth century. What is relatively new in the past decade is the recognition of industrial design as a means to significantly increase a company’s value through design thinking, a process which adapts industrial design methodologies to a wide range of business problems.
